Doesn't anyone ship software up to date anymore?  I bought Adobe Acrobat standard the other day, downloaded it from the web and immediately had to patch it. additional install.  Downloaded Ubuntu from the web, and it too needs an immediate patch.

(edit) As Bruce points out in the comments, the Adobe Acrobat standard starts with a 600mb install file from the download and installs version 9.  You then go to update it and it wants to install another 450mb download.  You just bought the thing, and you have to download it one and a half times.
