The new DRaaS with BDR-G14 from Zenith ends per-GB pricing.
August 14, 2013
Zenith Infotech Ltd., Pittsburgh, has released the BDR-G14, the next generation of its backup and disaster recovery line. Offered through a new DRaaS model, the BDR-G14 utilizes StorageCraft ShadowProtect 5.x that supports Windows Server 2012, new on-site storage capacities, and secure off-site replication with expandable shared storage. DRaaS with the BDR-G14 also offers automated 15-minute snapshots, easy file recovery, emergency server virtualization, and live bare metal restores.
The DRaaS hybrid approach provides on-site devices at low monthly rates. Then, MSP partners rent a BDR-G14 Vault in Zenith’s data center for replication of up to 25 local appliances. The Vault has a set monthly price that doesn’t increase as more local BDR-G14 appliances are replicated to it. That means that MSPs pay the same rate whether they’re storing 2TB or 225TB in the cloud.
