CloudBerry Lab announces enhancement to its Managed Backup service
July 31, 2013
CloudBerry Lab has rolled out a few enhancements to its Managed Backup Service by bringing remote management functionality to the “next level”
In the CloudBerry Managed Backup, service providers are able to get full control over their clients’ backup jobs remotely. Using web based control panels; they can create and modify backup plans, specify plan name and backup source, and create filters for specific types of files and folders. They can also configure a backup schedule and specify compression and encryption options. All the configurations are made through the web interface and do not require onsite support.
Also, with the remote backup plan configuration, service providers can see and modify plans created by the user, and change user’s access credentials to backup the client, all while offering one button access to changes to client settings.
CloudBerry Managed Backup Service uses the same technology as CloudBerry Backup to ensure data is encrypted with a user password and be available for restore. Unlike CloudBerry Backup Services, CloudBerry Managed Backup was designed to meet managed service providers specific requirements. It allows Amazon S3 or Amazon Glacier storage accounts as a remote storage for client data, complete backup of client branding and customization, and advanced remote management and monitoring.
