We all want the latest and greatest computer. However, having that kind of power shouldn’t mean that you have to sacrifice a lot of desk space. To help cut down on the clutter, Acer just introduced the Veriton Z2640G-UP2117X, and it’s certainly not a desk hog.
The Veriton Z2640G-UP2117X is an all-in-one computer, which packs the power of Windows 8 Pro (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit is also available) into a machine that looks like a 19.5-inch LCD. That screen has a 1600-by-900 resolution, but it’s so much more. The PC’s lineup of specs includes an Intel Pentium 2117U processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory, and a 500GB hard drive.
Another thing that can keep your workspace clean is the built-in HD webcam, which can rotate up to 180 degrees and tilt from 6 to 60 degrees. Other features include a DVD burner and built-in WiFi, as well as an HDMI input and two USB 3.0 ports. It’s also got Acer’s Dust Defender, which puts a reversing mechanism in the cooling fan to help flush out all of the dust.
“We’re confident that both end-users and IT professionals will appreciate the flexibility, security, and management benefits of this new 20-inch class AIO,” says Michael O’Beirne, Acer’s senior director of commercial product marketing. “Workers will enjoy the space savings and highly adjustable webcam and chassis, while IT will be pleased with the easy maintenance, strong security, and great price. This platform is an excellent choice for any professional environment focused on space savings and collaboration, including financial institutions, government agencies, and education.”
Acer is selling the Veriton Z2640G-UP2117X now, with an MSRP of $599.99.
