The latest version of Tone Software's communications networking and management software offers improved managed services and business intelligence dashboards.

Communications networking and management software developer Tone Software Corp. has announced the immediate availability of the latest iteration of its ReliaTel Management Solution.
With advanced performance dashboards, extended AccessPlus remote access, prioritized traceroute, alarms blacklist, and agentless Windows Server monitoring, ReliaTel 4.0 is designed to expand management intelligence, according to Tone Software. The new release aims to equip service providers (MSPs), VARs, and SMBs with “management views that help boost operational efficiency, lower costs, and improve ROI on voice over IP and unified communications investments,” states a Tone Software press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB.
As VoIP and UC environments mature and grow, operations teams are tasked with handling the increased workload of managing real-time communications. In order to provide intelligence about related operational issues, ReliaTel 4.0 is designed to deliver intelligent information specific to the device and issue occurring in such a manner that workflow can be streamlined, anticipated, diagnosed, and resolved.
The new 4.0 release reduces the number of “screens” needed to identify and address issues and processes associated with troubleshooting an affected network. Moreover, ReliaTel 4.0 introduces advanced dashboard views designed to a singular view of real-time metrics. Additionally, MSPs gain the ability to have portal access to the management views to their clients.
“The expanded functionalities provided by ReliaTel 4.0 are the direct result of what voice and network teams have stated they urgently need,” explains Tone Software director of strategic technology Amit Kapoor. “The release is specifically designed to help enterprises, MSPs, and channel pros gain deeper visibility and early insight into service-impacting issues while providing the operations intelligence teams required to manage complex converged VoIP and UC environments .”
Key features of ReliaTel 4.0 include:
- Alarms Blacklisting—Relevant alerts are streamlined, ensuring a focus on only the most important issues facing the organization.
- Advanced Performance and Trend Dashboards—Visibility and insight is gained into alarm, performance, and thresholds.
- Extended AccessPlus—SMBs and channel pros are enabled to proxy end device access to secured remote locations through the ReliaTel interface for both terminal and GUI based access. AccessPlus is particularly useful for remote management, providing SLA windows.
- Prioritized Traceroute—MSPs are enabled to pinpoint the specific network segment, where performance issues or quality degradation is originating in the call transport infrastructure.
