Level Platforms Adds Mobile Device Management to Managed Workplace 2012

Level Platforms, a remote monitoring and management (RMM) provider for MSPs, is offering Mobile Device Management (MDM) as a feature in the new release of Managed Workplace 2012. MDM allows service providers to manage and monitor smartphones and tablets being deployed in customer networks. Level Platforms is unveiling MDM during the company's global Road Show tour, which starts next week.

Level Platforms MDM provides RMM capabilities for all major smartphones and tablets, including Apple, Google, Microsoft, and RIM devices. The features are delivered from the same RMM central dashboard MSPs use to manage their customers' other technologies.

Features of MDM allow MSPs to:

  • Collect complete asset information
  • Remotely configure devices
  • Track location
  • Restrict user access
  • Wipe, lock, or reset a device if lost or stolen
  • Customize security and management policies depending on the customer's needs

Managed Workplace 2012 also introduces the Mobile Service manager, which allows MSPs to access the Managed Workplace Service Center dashboard from a mobile device. The Support Assistant feature allows a customized MSP-branded service icon on every Windows device.

The Managed Services Education and Collaboration Road Show is visiting 17 cities in North America and Europe through February and March. Each day-and-a-half event features education panels and details of the new Managed Workplace 2012, including the new MDM, fully integrated NOC and Help Desk services, managed print services, and more.
