Riverbed Enhances Worldwide Network Program

Additional distribution and incentives for lead generation, training and certification, and sales are hallmarks of the program.

San Francisco-based Riverbed Technology, a provider of IT infrastructure performance offerings for networks, applications, and storage, has enhanced its worldwide partner network program.

First, the company signed Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions and Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet Inc., as value-added distributors in North America to better meet demand for its WAN optimization solutions. In addition, the company enhanced its program to include incentives for lead generation, training and certification, and sales; special offerings for new large-account resellers; and what Riverbed calls "an aggressive program for the SMB market" with the introduction of a dedicated sales team and a lead-generation program.

With these program enhancements, Riverbed is able to segment its partners based on the markets on which they focus. According to the company, the partner network program will compensate each partner type for the unique value they provide to Riverbed and its customers.
