McAfee Announces Security Quickstart Services

Services aim to enable SMBs to get set up, use, maintain, and optimize security products.

Security solutions provider McAfee Inc. has announced its Quickstart Services set of offerings.

The new McAfee Security Quickstart Services are designed to deliver full lifecycle service support to SMBs, from implementation assistance to user training and ongoing maintenance to optimization of security management best practices.

McAfee Security Quickstart Services are available as standalone services or in package bundles. The standalone services include:

• McAfee Security Quickstart Training--One year of unlimited access to a large library of McAfee product and technology video training modules.

• McAfee Security Quickstart HealthCheck--Automatic assessment of SMB's security readiness done by interpreting security policy settings and comparing them to a selected set of baseline metrics.

• McAfee Security Quickstart Experts-On-Demand--Remote consultations provided by provided by certified, expert resources.

"Our research shows organizations that put more effort into preventing attacks can end up spending less than a third as much as those that McAfee senior vice president, global mid-market, Darrell Rodenbaugh says his company's new line of services address the limited resources with which many SMBs are forced to contend. "We're giving SMBs what they need to get up and running quickly, for very little cost," he says. "With McAfee Security Quickstart Services, we can now offer enterprise-level solutions that help our SMBs gain the knowledge they need to keep their business secure."

Greg Spraggins, owner of NSI Networks, a McAfee reseller, says the Quickstart Services provide a valuable Web-based set of resources for his SMB clients. "We understand the frustration that comes from our SMB customers that don't have enough time or resources to get their products running properly," he says.

Bundled Quickstart solutions include the McAfee Security Quickstart Pack for Endpoint Protection, the McAfee Security Quickstart Pack for Total Protection for Secure Business, and the McAfee Security Quickstart Combo Pack for total wellness of ePolicy Orchestrator.
